GANGS AND FAMILIES RULES
Application rules:
The default ruling of two weeks when reapplying has been put back in place.
Addition of a rule about number of warnings / jailings to be given when applying.
You're story/background must be ORIGINAL, no copying from outside sources. Failure to follow this rule results in a ban from making families.
Basic Rules:
When a vehicle is parked away from the home turf of the family, it will be removed with NO gang warning given.
Avoiding cops is a number one priority for any realistic criminal organisation. Gangs must roleplay the fear correctly.
Gangs must do research on their roleplay beforehand, sticking to realistic stereotypes rather than unrealistic ''movie antics''.
Family chat (/f) is completely OOC. We have a private radio script in-game for a reason.
When gangs have shootouts with eachother, the enemy gang cannot rob the injured parties. Realistically you would attempt to run. (Unless it was a robbable item that started the conflict).
Shootouts are to be roleplayed correctly. No more movie style shootouts where two gangs sit there firing and chasing after each other for 15 minutes. Realistically you fire on the other gang then get out of there. Similar to a driveby. Shootouts also cannot happen in high traffic areas, such as pizza stack, or hospitals. They should be in opposing gang's hoods or territories.
Exceptions where you can shoot for longer would be if the shootout occurs inside an interior or house, or where two large gangs are already together and begin to shoot out. However, gangs are to start running as soon as they can.
We also recommend with lower tier gangs, that shootouts are completely avoided, using brawls or perhaps the occasional driveby shooting are used.
Gang Relations:
When alliances are made, gangs must have roleplay reasons behind it. (Supplying of drugs, weapons, and such.)
When gang conflicts are made, there must be roleplayed reasons behind it. (Turf expansion, conflict between members)
Teaming against factions is not allowed, for gangs. Unless the faction, instigates the conflict between the two.
When you have been attacked by another gang, you cannot retaliate for another hour. (Members who have died, can assist in retaliating.)
During Gang Wars, if a Member dies, he/she CAN NOT participate in that War again to prevent UnRP.
Vehicle Rules:
All vehicles used by a family and it's members, must be within the gangs roleplay style.
Vehicles must be parked at the home turf of the family.
Vehicles given must be used in a roleplay way, or families are at risk of losing this benefit.
Vehicle changes, can be done if the family leader has a good reason and their family is in good standing with the Gang Moderation team.
Weapon rules:
From rank 0 to rank 2: Melee weapons, 9mm, shotgun, county rifle, deagle.
From rank 3 to rank 6: Weapons mentioned before, light automatic weapons (TEC-9, UZI, MP5), and heavy weapons (AK-47, M4, sniper rifle, SPAS12, etc).
If anyone is caught breaking this rule, THEY will receive a gang warning on their account and the family leader will be instructed to take action by a gang moderator.
If it then happens again with the same person or anyone from the same family they will receive a gang warning on both the players' account and the gang itself.
The use of small melee weapons is greatly encouraged to increase the roleplay of gangs/families.
Creation of ammo during roleplays, must be roleplayed completely. I.E, taken from a house or vehicle owned by the gang member of family.
Weapons such as bats, katanas, golf clubs, must be taken out of a vehicle or house if used in brawls and such. (Knives are an exception to this rule).
The use of small melee weapons is greatly encouraged to increase the roleplay of gangs/families.
TS and use of family chat:
Family channels, are completely OOC.
Families are allowed to roleplay using radios, we have a private radio script in-game which can be used IC'ly, however it's better roleplay to use the in game cell-phones.
Family chat (/f) is to be used for OOC purposes only. When using the /f command it is recommended that you add two brackets to the end so people know you are using it for OOC purposes instead of IC.
Activity:
Gang Moderators will be using their own judgement to decide if a gang is inactive or not. You must have active members to keep the family.
If a family goes inactive, a gang moderator will attempt to contact you. You will have one week to respond, before being given an official gang warning.
If a gang leader is going away for a set date, they must tell a gang moderator.
Unofficial Gangs:
Unofficial criminal groups must abide by the gang rules. Failing to do this will result in the group being disbanded, and potentially the leading members banned.
Unofficial criminal groups must have a topic within the "Families" section to display their history and roleplay. If it is not active, then their group may be disbanded by a Gang Moderator. This is to keep a small bit of order within the groups, and make sure everyone's having a fair experience within the server.
Unofficial gang members can role play robbing stores, but upon robbing low budget stores (24/7, Blueberry Denny's etc.) they are permitted to rob it alone (the gang member) or they can bring other unofficial gang members with them, up to three unofficial gang members in total for low budget stores. For high budget stores (banks, ammunition etc) the gang member imitating the robbery will need at least four members up to six members from their gang to conduct the robbery with the total being up to six including robbery initiator. Robberies should always be role-played properly.
Cool Down Period:
After leaving a government faction (LAPD, LASD and CHP) if you would then like to join a gang you must wait a minimum of one week. The same goes for leaving a gang and then heading to a government faction, you must still wait one week to join it. In these two weeks you are to roleplay as a civilian and not get into any criminal type activities. You may also decide to join a faction like, Rapid Recovery, LAFD or DOC for the week but that is up to the faction leader. Faction Leader(s) can also approve you to be allowed to skip over the week waiting period.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE GANG RULES COULD RESULT IN YOUR GANG/FAMILY BEING GANG WARNED.
